I started cutting hair for $5 wherever I could find a place to set up. Garages, locker rooms, bathrooms, wherever someone would let me work.
But the more I cut, the more I realized I didn't just want to be a barber. I wanted to master the craft. I spent years studying different textures, head shapes and styles, pushing myself to become the kind of barber who could sit anyone in my chair and know what to do with their hair.
That commitment eventually led me to cutting pro athletes, artists and entertainers. Opportunities I once couldn't have imagined when I was charging $5 a cut.
But the clients and the following were never the goal. The craft was. And after 10+ years behind the chair, I'm still chasing the next level.
